Rooster Traps™ started after more than 5 years of living on the beautiful island of Kauai in Hawaii. Of course no matter where you go, there will always be something that can obstruct an otherwise perfect place. In Hawaii, for many it's the Roosters, and in California, it's the crows. If you have ever been to Hawaii, you know that Roosters are everywhere. They will be anywhere you want to relax and have a nice clean lunch at the beach or laying in a hammick. They fill parking lots and sometimes walk the isles of local grocery stores and public bathrooms. The worst part about the wild roosters and chickens is that they have no major predetors on island to control their numbers. So after many years of pulling my hair out and watching others do the same, I set out to buy a good trap. I scoured the phone book, talked with friends and then ended up on the Internet only to find some bulky over weight trap that would have cost me a firtune to get it to Hawaii! I was so determined to clear my property of roosters I began to research making my own. After choosing my materials and design, I went to work. The next morning I set my trap and caught 6 or 7 roosters/chickens within a few hours. Active in the community, I knew there was a need throughout Hawaii for what I had not been able to buy anywhere.
